Laurel Evans
Laurel brings over a decade of experience as a massage therapist to her practice. She opened Mountain Laurel Massage when she moved to California in 2020 because she wanted to offer a more tailored client experience. She has now relocated back to Charlottesville, VA (where she was the previous 8 years) and looks forward to seeing both old and new clientele. Laurel graduated from the Cayce/Reilly School of massage in 2008, and has held her National Board Certification for Massage and Bodywork ever since. She is also CAMT certified.
As a therapist, Laurel listens. Every massage is catered to the client’s individual needs. She finds joy in helping others and does so by bringing thoughtful awareness to each and every session.
Beyond her massage practice, Laurel’s other passions are music and her family. Laurel is a cellist who earned her BA in music in 2007. When not caring for her two littles, she fills her time with
both trades. As a massage therapist, she brings the improvisational and listening skills gained in a life of studying music to her practice. Laurel has studied several modalities over the years. She incorporates different elements, depending on what is called for by each client and session. Laurel is able to use a wide range of pressure and often incorporates trigger point work. Some of her training includes prenatal massage, cranial sacral, massage cupping, hot stone, reflexology, and tuning fork therapy.
